E-Learning

E-learning days offer a modern, flexible approach to education by using technology to support learning beyond the traditional classroom. This approach is reserved specifically for inclement weather days, ensuring that learning continues even when conditions prevent students from coming to school. During an e-learning day, students participate in virtual lessons, access digital materials, and complete assignments through platforms like Google Classroom and Schoology. These days help students maintain academic progress and provide continuity in learning, even when the weather makes in-person attendance impossible.

Key Components

Students should check their email at the start of the day for daily announcements and information. Video announcements will be sent to students via email to watch during the advisory.

Teachers will post a link in their Google Classroom/Schoology for students to connect via Google Meets/Schoology.

Students learning remotely are expected to log in to their classes at their assigned time.  Students must attend all class sessions during the assigned time.

Attendance will be taken and reported to the main office. Teachers will report attendance hourly in PowerSchool.

Students will follow the schedule as it is an in-person day with synchronous learning or video-assisted synchronous learning.

Lunch has been extended from the traditional 30 minutes to give students extra time for food preparation in their home environment.

There will be a virtual tutoring and study hall at the end of each day for students to complete the independent work that was assigned during their classes.  Teachers will post a link for students to access them for extended help and tutoring when working through assignments.

Students must leave their cameras on unless otherwise instructed by their teacher.

All grades, such as assignments, participation, projects, quizzes, and tests, will be figured into the quarter and semester grades.

Students are expected to turn in classwork on the assigned date and time as established by the classroom teacher.
