We’re excited to remind you about the opportunity for students to earn an exemption from second-semester final exams! All students are eligible if they meet the following criteria:
Grade Requirement:
C or better in the class.
Students may be required to take the final exam for LCCC dual credit.
Attendance Requirement:
93% attendance for the year OR 5 or fewer absences during semester 2.
What Counts Towards Your 12 Absences?
Yes: Doctor’s appointments, physical therapy, counseling, dentist appointments, suspensions, vacations, mental health days, and any period missed.
No: School field trips do not count toward your absences
Behavior Requirement:
12 or fewer social probation points.
Special Circumstances
Major medical situations requiring hospitalization will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Students in this category may be provided with an individual attendance goal.
Important Reminder
This is an incentive, not a punishment. If your student does not meet the requirements for exemption, they are not being punished but did not qualify for this opportunity. Thank you for supporting our students in meeting these goals and striving for excellence this school year!
