CMHS Friends,

No School – Monday, January 19 (MLK Day)

Civic Memorial High School will not be in session on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This important day honors the life and legacy of Dr. King and his commitment to service, equality, justice, and standing up for what is right—even when it is difficult.

We encourage our Eagle Nation to take time to reflect on the values he championed, show kindness to others, and consider ways we can all make a positive impact in our community. Also, enjoy the long weekend, rest up, recharge, and we look forward to welcoming students and staff back on Tuesday.

Hard Work - Pays Off,

Mr. Justin Newell

CMHS Friends,

Happy New Year and welcome back to the second semester of the 2025–2026 school year! As we begin this new chapter, we encourage everyone in the Eagle community to build on the strong foundation we’ve already established. From academic growth to accomplishments on the field and meaningful community service, our students and staff continue to show that Hard Work Pays Off.

For our senior families, this final semester of high school is especially meaningful. Take time to cherish these moments—celebrate the milestones, make lasting memories, and encourage your student to finish strong as they prepare for the next exciting chapter of their journey.

At CMHS, Hard Work Pays Off means giving our best each day, staying engaged, and supporting one another as a school community. Let’s continue to show up with purpose, embrace challenges, and create an environment where every Eagle has the opportunity to succeed.

Here’s to a successful and memorable second semester at Civic Memorial High School!
